Steps to Open an AFFCU IRA Share Certificate

Step 1:

Open a Traditional or Roth IRA online, by visiting the AFFCU IRA Service Center website. Once you’ve completed the answers required and successfully submitted your application, please print out the documents and return them by mail or in an AFFCU branch. Choose 1 of the 2 options below.

Option 1:  Place the signed copies and your check (if necessary) in an envelope and mail them to: Air Force Federal Credit Union, 1560 Cable Ranch Road, Suite 200, San Antonio, TX 78245

Option 2:  Bring in the completed documents to any AFFCU branch

 

Step 2:

Once the signed copies have been returned to AFFCU, your next step is to request to open an IRA Share Certificate. This can be done by calling AFFCU at 800.227.5238 or 210.673.5610, or in any AFFCU branch. Please note, an AFFCU IRA share certificate cannot be opened online or in any other way at this time.
